Why opt for Accoya sliding sash windows in Lewisham, SE13

Lewisham in South East London is known for its diverse mix of architectural styles. The area features Victorian and Edwardian terraced houses with ornate sash windows and post-war housing developments that add to its varied character. Modern apartment complexes and regenerated spaces are becoming increasingly common, blending contemporary design with the area’s historic charm. Our sliding sash windows can be designed to match properties of all styles and descriptions.

Accoya wood is an engineered timber treated with a patented acetylation process. This process enhances its natural properties to deliver exceptional durability, stability, and resistance to decay. These features make it ideal for modern replica replacement sash windows, blending traditional aesthetics with advanced performance.

Accoya’s durability ensures a lifespan of over 50 years above ground, far surpassing untreated timber and many hardwoods. This makes it highly reliable for external applications. Its dimensional stability prevents swelling, shrinking, or warping.

Accoya’s excellent thermal efficiency improves insulation, reducing energy loss and heating costs. Sourced from FSC®-certified forests and 100% recyclable, Accoya is an eco-friendly choice for sustainability-focused homeowners.

I had 8 box sash windows replaced and chose London Box Sash Windows because they offered acoustic glass and coloured glass to match the originals. The work was done in 3 days and the job was difficult because the original windows & frames weren’t straight. The guys did a brilliant job and I am really pleased with the new windows. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the company.

What a fantastic company . Professional from start to finish . We have had wood sash windows replaced in our Victorian terrace house . The product and the work carried out was amazing – we are so happy with the result . From the sales team to the fitters, everything went smoothly and we now have beautiful, period appropriate wood sash windows. It was so worth the cost. We couldn’t be more pleased . Would highly recommend the London Box Sash window company.

We could not be more pleased with the service we received from London Box Sash Windows. The process from start to finish was very easy from Jake who came to quote, Judith in the office and Andy who came to install were super helpful. The windows are great quality and Andy did a fantastic job, we have rather a "drunk" Victorian house, our bathroom ceiling in particular, Andy has done such a good job, it looks amazing. He was also very clean and tidy. A huge thank you to Jake, Judith and Andy

London Box Sash replaced all the sash windows at the front of my Victorian house including a dormer, and a kitchen casement window. Every aspect of this company’s service was friendly, efficient and highly professional. The windows themselves are perfect with a 50 year guarantee and the fitters were extremely competent and completed the task very quickly. They also took exacting care not to leave any mess, building a floor to ceiling screen around all the work and covering every inch of floor. I was particularly impressed with the initial survey, where my needs were listened to so that what was installed exactly met my requirements. I chose the company’s ‘standby’ offer since I wanted the work done fairly quickly, and they were accommodating enough to fit it within the dates I could do. The customer service was also everything I could ask for, and when a blind couldn’t be refitted and there was a problem with rehanging a curtain rail, I was compensated. It was one of the higher quotes I received, but completely worth it, and the standby reduction made a difference. I can’t recommend too highly.

We asked Simon to come and quote for replacing 6 tired windows – 3 casement and 3 sash windows. Simon arrived on time and was very polite. What impressed me most was his honesty and integrity. He asked how long we intended to stay in our home and he did a thorough review of the condition of our windows and then said, we would be better off just repairing them. In this day and age it's rare to find someone not trying to force sell things to you. Chapeau. Rest assured we will use this company in the future when we do need to replace our existing windows.
