I used London Box Sash Windows for two separate installations over the last year and I have nothing but praise for the company. From the initial contact, through the estimating to the final installations, the people I dealt with were polite, informative, helpful, punctual and hard working. We had a mix of sash and casement windows fitted and the product is absolutely top notch. We had some issues with our builder making new openings for the windows but the advice and flexibility with the fitting dates given by LBSW made the process and the overall look of the windows superb. I’ve used a few tradespeople over the last few years and LBSW are by far the most professional and committed. A company based on wonderful craftsmanship and customer service!

Phenomenal windows and service. We chose to use London Box Sash Windows following a recommendation and couldn’t be happier. The entire process from start to finish was absolutely seamless, from the initial survey, selecting designs that replicated our existing Victorian windows like for like, to the fitting and end result. We were astonished not only by the brilliant quality of the new windows (upgrading from original frames and glass means that the property is now silent, cooler and undoubtedly warmer come winter) but the speed the fitting team worked at and their attention to detail.

Why choose sliding sash windows in Tooting, SW17?

Tooting in South London is known for its charming mix of period properties, including Victorian and Edwardian homes, which feature classic architectural details that reflect the area’s history.

These older homes often have traditional features like high ceilings, Bay windows, and ornate brickwork, making them ideal candidates for sash windows. Installing or replacing sash windows in Tooting properties can enhance their historic charm while providing modern benefits.

Sash windows are aesthetically pleasing and offer improved energy efficiency and insulation, which is essential in maintaining the comfort of these homes. Additionally, they allow for better ventilation and can be customised to match the property’s original character.

We manufacture all our products at our London factory, just a short distance from where we originally began. Even today, 90 per cent of our window installations are completed within an 8-mile radius of where they are made, and we are committed to maintaining this approach – supporting the local community while minimising our environmental impact.

    Tooting Accoya sash windows

Various types of timber are available for making windows, but some are better suited than others. Accoya timber stands out as an excellent option. It is a high-tech, sustainable wood modified at the molecular level through acetylation. This advanced process prevents the timber from absorbing water, making it exceptionally stable and durable. For homeowners seeking long-lasting doors and windows, Accoya is a top choice.

Accoya offers unmatched durability. Class 1 timber lasts longer than traditional hardwoods like oak, and it comes with a 50-year manufacturer’s warranty against above-ground decay and rot. Its longevity makes it a cost-effective investment for any home. Additionally, Accoya is ideal for coatings, ensuring that your windows maintain their pristine appearance over time with minimal maintenance.

Accoya also boasts superior insulation properties, offering about 40 per cent better energy efficiency compared to other hardwoods, reducing both energy bills and carbon footprints.

With its FSC certification and recognition for sustainability, Accoya is durable and eco-friendly, making it an excellent choice for homeowners who want to prioritise both performance and environmental impact.

I had 8 box sash windows replaced and chose London Box Sash Windows because they offered acoustic glass and coloured glass to match the originals. The work was done in 3 days and the job was difficult because the original windows & frames weren’t straight. The guys did a brilliant job and I am really pleased with the new windows. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the company.

What a fantastic company . Professional from start to finish . We have had wood sash windows replaced in our Victorian terrace house . The product and the work carried out was amazing – we are so happy with the result . From the sales team to the fitters, everything went smoothly and we now have beautiful, period appropriate wood sash windows. It was so worth the cost. We couldn’t be more pleased . Would highly recommend the London Box Sash window company.

We could not be more pleased with the service we received from London Box Sash Windows. The process from start to finish was very easy from Jake who came to quote, Judith in the office and Andy who came to install were super helpful. The windows are great quality and Andy did a fantastic job, we have rather a "drunk" Victorian house, our bathroom ceiling in particular, Andy has done such a good job, it looks amazing. He was also very clean and tidy. A huge thank you to Jake, Judith and Andy

London Box Sash replaced all the sash windows at the front of my Victorian house including a dormer, and a kitchen casement window. Every aspect of this company’s service was friendly, efficient and highly professional. The windows themselves are perfect with a 50 year guarantee and the fitters were extremely competent and completed the task very quickly. They also took exacting care not to leave any mess, building a floor to ceiling screen around all the work and covering every inch of floor. I was particularly impressed with the initial survey, where my needs were listened to so that what was installed exactly met my requirements. I chose the company’s ‘standby’ offer since I wanted the work done fairly quickly, and they were accommodating enough to fit it within the dates I could do. The customer service was also everything I could ask for, and when a blind couldn’t be refitted and there was a problem with rehanging a curtain rail, I was compensated. It was one of the higher quotes I received, but completely worth it, and the standby reduction made a difference. I can’t recommend too highly.

We asked Simon to come and quote for replacing 6 tired windows – 3 casement and 3 sash windows. Simon arrived on time and was very polite. What impressed me most was his honesty and integrity. He asked how long we intended to stay in our home and he did a thorough review of the condition of our windows and then said, we would be better off just repairing them. In this day and age it's rare to find someone not trying to force sell things to you. Chapeau. Rest assured we will use this company in the future when we do need to replace our existing windows.
